Gemma works with clients to understand the landscape they are operating in and strives to develop creative and innovative solutions to business and communications challenges. Commercially minded, Gemma ensures all campaigns are aligned to broader business objectives and deliver strong results. She is also part of the leadership team for Asia Pacific and works with fellow country leads to ensure clients, regionally and globally, receive high-level strategic counsel.

With nearly two decades in the communications industry, Hudson has worked across the health, consumer, technology and corporate sectors. Hudson held roles at Edelman, Burson Marsteller in Australia and several independent UK agencies. She also spearheaded many successful campaigns, including new product launches, issues management thought-leadership campaigns and B2C media relations and engagements. Hudson’s experience running integrated PR, promotions and events programmes has earned her work with leading brands like GSK, Jenny Craig, Pfizer, Cotton On Group, Allianz and GE. Hudson also led the health division at the Dentsu Aegis PR agency, Haystac, for four years. Hudson helped establish a national health offer with clients across NSW, VIC and QLD, building them into one of the go-to PR agencies for health communication. At WE, Hudson has led the agency in Australia to win Mumbrella CommsCon PR Agency of the Year for two consecutive years (2018 and 2019) and was named one of Campaign Asia’s 40 Under 40 in 2018. Hudson is a member of the Public Relations Institute of Australia, providing professional support and recognition to practitioners and consultants nationwide.  

In Gemma’s personal life, she enjoys being creative through dancing, painting and drawing. She also loves to travel and has visited more than 40 countries.
