Marcus Loh

Group Executive Director, Singapore


As WE Singapore’s group executive director, Marcus Loh works alongside his team of communicators, advising cutting-edge clients in the Asia-Pacific region. His work covers areas including reputation analytics, corporate reputation and brand purpose.

With nearly 20 years of experience in strategic communication, Marcus’ extensive career includes integrated communications work and institutional relations across multiple sectors such as technology, education and public service. Marcus has worked for clients such as Singapore’s Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, the Agency for Science, Technology and Research, and the Smart Nation and Digital Government Office under the Prime Minister's Office. In 2017, Marcus was named a notable chief marketing officer under 40 by the Singapore Business Review and featured as one of the most viewed marketing professionals on LinkedIn's Power Profiles Singapore. Before joining WE, Marcus was director of communication for Asia-Pacific at Tableau Software. As the company’s first communication hire, he built a regional team covering media relations, executive communication and customer advocacy, elevating Tableau as the preferred data skill for Singapore’s public officers.

As an advocate of philanthropy and stewardship, Marcus is a fellow at the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre’s Company of Good program, helping companies understand corporate purpose and encouraging impactful initiatives to benefit communities. In 2019, Marcus was elected president of the Institute of Public Relations of Singapore, spearheading initiatives with his Council to encourage current and future generations of communications practitioners to find relevance in the industry. He also serves as a mentor at Advisory Singapore, an adjunct advisor with Singapore Management University’s (SMU) UOB-SMU Asian Enterprise Institute and an industry advisory board member for the Singapore University of Social Sciences.
