Over the past four years, WE has transformed its Asia Pacific business from what it admits was a "disjointed network" into a fast-growing market leader. That journey included acquisitions in Australia, China and Singapore in 2016 and 2017, then 2018’s eye-catching investment in a majority stake in 150-staff Indian firm Avian Media.
The firm has invested in senior talent, creating new consumer, tech and healthcare teams, and in differentiating itself through the global Brands in Motion study, providing global consumer insights. The 2018 edition secured more than 100 pieces of coverage, generated more than 60 new business leads and acted as the backbone of more than a dozen pitches. WE’s annual global Week of Giving, a wellness programme, a commitment to pro bono work and Global Exchange programme have kept staff engaged in a competitive talent market.
