WE Communications continues to expand its capabilities and expertise in its New York office through the addition of several communications professionals across technology, consumer and healthcare. The agency has moved key players to New York and brought on new talent to further expand its already diverse set of talent.

To build out the senior leadership in the eastern region and continue to deepen the agency’s East Coast media expertise, Executive Vice President Bill Schultz has relocated to New York from the Pacific Northwest. A 20-year industry veteran, Schultz brings experience in integrated brand storytelling campaigns, corporate communications, executive communications and product communications. He has served a wide portfolio of clients at WE including Microsoft, T-Mobile and Volvo, among others.

Schultz will serve current clients on both coasts, including New York-based accounts like CA Technologies, and spearhead business development in the consumer technology space. Schultz will also continue to run the dedicated influencer team in New York, part of a larger network of teams that makes up the agency’s influence department.

In addition to Schultz’s move, WE has hired additional talent in New York to bolster this dedicated influencer team. Lamar Dawson joins WE as an account manager, having previously worked on brands such as Bank of America, Sony and Chipotle. Julia Mangin joins as a senior account executive, previously partnering with brands including Ford, Accenture and Intel. Both bring a range of capabilities including strong influence and storytelling experience in the technology and consumer spaces, as well as diversified skills in brand reputation management, product launches, experiential communications, and executive coaching and training.

“I’m thrilled to join WE-New York to work with our impressive roster of clients, help grow our business and attract new talent to be a part of our amazing team,” said Schultz. “Our people are our greatest asset, and I’m really excited to welcome to the agency people like Lamar and Julia, who have diversified and unique experience with global brands.”

This new influx of talent will support the agency’s work with longtime clients including Volvo, Ste. Michelle Wine Estates, Woodford Reserve and Microsoft, and recent account wins like AMD, CA Technologies and Brother.

“Our heritage as an agency is built on technology, transformation of brands and mastery of influence across all types of traditional and nontraditional media,” said Alyssa Garnick, executive vice president and managing director, WE-New York. “New York is a media center of excellence for WE, and our team knows how to push the boundaries and get clients best-in-class results.”
