As WE’s Executive Vice President of Content and Digital Experience, Gretchen Ramsey develops creative storytelling strategies for clients with an emphasis on digital experience. Her counsel is grounded in the idea that core to a successful story is uncovering how innovations, products and services meet an authentic human need, improving the way we work and live. In addition to driving strategy for innovation powerhouses like client Microsoft, Gretchen leads work on building AI-fueled communications models through deep behavioral insight and guided experimentation with tools such as ChatGPT, Dall-E, Bing Chat, and Midjourney.
Over the course of her nearly 30-year career, Gretchen has guided iconic global brands, such as Johnson & Johnson, P&G, Sony, MasterCard, and Bristol-Myers Squibb, through content-led digital transformations. Before joining WE, she worked at advertising and communications groups like McCann Worldgroup, Publicis, Grey Group and Omnicom. Most recently, she was Chief Strategy Officer at Harte Hanks, where she created the Harte Hanks Behavioral IndexTM, a global study that tracks millions of pieces of data on human behavior each month.
Her work has earned Cannes Lions finalist nods, PRSA Silver Anvils, and the coveted Ad Club Best in Show. She graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania and received the City of Philadelphia’s Next Generation Women Leaders Award.
