Managing Partner, Codeword
Michael McKloskey is the managing partner of Codeword, part of the WE Communications family, where he leads cross-functional teams in developing and delivering effective communications programs across owned, earned and paid channels.
Michael comes from the account management department in “big agency world,” having spent seven years working on large-scale advertising and content campaigns for brands like ExxonMobil, Microsoft, Bloomberg and Qualcomm. He was an early builder of “brand journalism” programs, including award-winning work for Microsoft Enterprise Solutions back in 2010. Michael’s enthusiasm and success working on technology brands and content programs made his move to Knock Twice (now Codeword) a no-brainer. He joined the company as managing director in 2012 and helped grow the New York office from a team of four to a team of 24 within a year and a half, when he was made a partner in the agency.
Today, Michael strives to balance his time between playing a part in client work and building Codeword for the future. He loves being able to help teams achieve business objectives for clients that range from huge global brands like Google and Qualcomm to the newest tech startup. As Codeword continues to grow, Michael believes strongly in cultivating an organization rooted in creative collaboration and consensus-building and aims to make Codeword a place where everyone can play an active role in shaping the agency.
Outside work Michael loves to travel, especially to escape the city for the great outdoors. He spends his fall yelling at his beloved Green Bay Packers through the television (they can totally hear him).
