As WE’s VP of Insights & Creative Strategy, Wendy Joong champions insights-driven strategy and out-of-the-box thinking across the consumer sector. Working alongside account teams and other specialists, she uses data-led insights and a deep understanding of the target audience to generate integrated creative campaign ideas.

Wendy spent a number of years on the account side, managing teams, driving strategy, counseling clients and leading integrated planning. In 2014, she shifted her focus to strategy and creative work, taking on the role of VP, Creative Director, Creative Planning at Ketchum, combining her natural analytical and creative skills. Wendy has helped lead many noteworthy campaigns across multiple consumer industries, including McDonald’s first loyalty program and IKEA’s BYOF (Bring Your Own Friends) Day. At WE, her work spans multiple accounts within the consumer sector, including McDonald’s and Microsoft’s Work & Play team, as well as new business. Wendy’s work has won a dozen industry awards, including PRWeek’s Campaign of the Year and a Platinum SABRE from PRovoke Media. She has served on the jury of several industry awards, including The One Show and PRSA’s Big Apple Awards.

Wendy is an amateur but passionate karaoke singer and skier. She loves pop culture, television — she watches everything from prestige dramas to reality TV — and baseball.
