ADVANCING EQUITY

We honor and celebrate each other’s differences and strive to create an equitable workplace by providing inclusive benefits, work-life flexibility, and generous time off to support the many facets of life outside work. Our values are rooted in the humanity of our people, because at the end of the day – our people are what makes us WE.

  • WE offers extensive benefits to support LGBTQIA+ employees, including gender-affirming care, fertility benefits for same-sex couples, healthcare for same-sex domestic partners and more.
  • WE is committed to maintaining pay equity and upholding fair pay practices for all employees regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity or expression, age, tenure, or other legally protected class status. The company reviews its equitable pay policies and conducts a company-wide pay equity audit annually.
  • In the U.S., WE promotes life balance with enhanced caregiver leave for veterans and their families, generous parental leave, three 8ForU days for employees to use as they choose, a hybrid work environment and more.

Global DEI Council and Initiatives

Established in 2022 to help guide the agency’s DEI efforts more holistically, the Global DEI Council is a forum for sharing and learning best practices across our international markets. Using the global DEI vision and framework, local leads are empowered to shape programs that are most meaningful to their people and account for cultural norms and local laws. This furthers our efforts to create a more inclusive culture for everyone. A few highlights include:

  • Avian WE’s support for LGBTQIA+ people in India through the release of “Consciously Speaking,” a book focused on inclusive language related to gender, sex and sexuality.
  • WE Germany has been honored for its social equality work by local LGBTQIA+ advocacy organization the UHLALA Group.
  • WE UK and WE Australia completed a third-party audit of their DEI practices to inform short- and long-term opportunities.
  • Several international markets have established local Diversity and Belonging Employee Councils.
