SEATTLE — WE Communications has elevated two of its veteran executives — Tiffany Cook and Katie Huang Shin — to the roles of practice presidents.
Cook, a 19-year agency vet, has been upped from executive VP to president of WE’s North American consumer practice. In the newly expanded role, Cook will focus on expanding the group’s work through an array of channels and offerings — social and digital media, insights, influencer marketing and creative among them.
During Cook’s three-year tenure as WE’s head of consumer, the practice has grown with the addition of brands including McDonald's, Brother and Volvo, WE said in announcing the appointment.
Huang Shin, also an executive VP, meanwhile, will assume similar responsibilities as president of WE’s North American technology sector and chief strategy officer. Huang Shin (pictured) succeeds Dawn Beauparlant, who was named chief client officer in March 2017, and will now devote more time to growing WE’s client portfolio and serving as an advisor on accounts such as Microsoft.
In addition to overseeing the tech practice, Huang Shin will focus on driving the agency’s overarching growth strategy, working across the global agency, sectors and services to strengthen the business, WE said.
"Both leaders have played instrumental roles in taking our business to the next level — expanding our capabilities and diversifying our client work," said Kass Sells, president of WE Communications, North America. "These moves set us up to deliver even further on stellar client work that meet the demands of a changing market that is rich with opportunity."
