WE COMMUNICATONS SNAPS UP CANCER RESEARCH UK HEAD OF SOCIAL

CECILIA DOMINICI JOINS WE UK LEADERSHIP TEAM AS DIRECTOR OF DIGITAL CONTENT AND STRATEGY

LONDON — APRIL 10, 2019 — WE Communications today announced a new addition to its U.K leadership team, which will enhance its ability to deliver expanded digital capabilities to clients. Cecilia Dominici, former Head of Social Media, News and Content at Cancer Research UK, joins WE as digital content and strategy director. Her appointment builds off several other recent leadership additions spurred by a rapidly expanding client need in the UK market.

Dominici is tasked with building out WE’s digital practice and growing its client base across the U.K. She joins other members of the newly formed WE UK leadership team, including Ruth Allchurch, who joined as managing director nine months ago; Catherine Devaney, deputy MD and head of healthcare; directors Laura Gillen, Annabel Kerr, Gillian Daines (who joined on March 1), and Louise Waller (who joined on April 1). All work out of the UK office and will offer senior counsel to the team’s newest client roster addition, Capgemini.

“Cecilia’s hire will bring our clients a wealth of strategic and creative experience in the digital arena,” said Ruth Allchurch, managing director, WE Communications UK. “Our recent additions to the UK leadership team are a sign of our ongoing commitment to hiring the best talent in the industry, and to deliver outstanding service for our clients.”

Dominici brings more than 10 years’ experience in digital communications and social media. She has a strong track record of leading owned, earned and paid campaigns, driving content innovation and managing strategy in the consumer brand, technology and health sectors. She will provide senior counsel for the agency’s existing UK and global clients including, Aruba, Capgemini and iRobot.

“This is a really exciting move for me as I join a growing and entrepreneurial agency in the UK,” said Dominici. “I’ve watched WE with great interest and what struck me the most was the innovative work they are doing for clients spanning technology, health and consumer. That is exactly where I want to deploy my experience and set about growing a best-in-class digital and content team.”

Dominici will join WE on June 4, reporting into Ruth Allchurch.

In other team news, Marcus Sorour, VP of international client services, will be departing WE after nine years with the agency. He is moving in-house to one of WE Communications’ global client, F5 as EMEA comms lead and is based in London.
