RYAN SKETCHLEY APPOINTED TO DRIVE BRAND STORYTELLING AND CORPORATE NARRATIVE FOR GLOBAL CLIENTS

LONDON – 6 APRIL 2021 — WE Communications (WE), a leading global communications firm, today named Ryan Sketchley to lead editorial strategy in the UK. This newly created role extends the agency’s continued investment in integrated services for clients, which has grown 25 percent over the past year.  These additions include insights and analytics, social and digital marketing, content strategy and production, which help deliver brand transformation and measurable impact.

“We have a growing global client base and a soaring demand for strategic storytelling out of the UK,” said Ruth Allchurch, managing director, UK. “We want to construct compelling stories that move people to positive action and we’re thrilled to have someone with Ryan’s experience join us, marking a significant evolution of our corporate reputation and editorial capabilities in the UK.”

Sketchley joins WE with more than 13 years’ agency experience in editorial leadership positions. Most recently, he served as editorial director at Frank. Over his career, he has worked with a range of brands including Red Bull, Whitbread, The UK Department for Transport, and led media relations and content production on the Lloyds TSB sponsorship of the London 2012 Olympics.

In this new position at WE, Sketchley will lead corporate storytelling, messaging, c-suite profiling, media training and crisis communications for clients in the UK, including Capgemini Group, Intel and Microsoft amongst others. He will also lead editorial strategy and corporate content, working across a growing base of global brands.

“I'm really excited to join WE,” said Sketchley. “WE is a global, purpose-driven independent agency with a fantastic reputation in the market, so the chance to join them in a newly-created editorial role was too good to turn down. I'm looking forward to working with Ruth, the leadership team and WE’s clients to develop compelling campaigns that cross multiple international markets.”

Sketchley joins WE in April and will report to UK director, Louise Waller.
