As WE’s Regional Tech Lead in Asia-Pacific, Sara Pereira is responsible for increasing cross-regional collaboration and developing the technology sector practice in partnership with the local market leadership. She also provides senior counsel to the agency’s technology client portfolio.
Sara has over 20 years’ experience running marketing communications programs for brands across the Asia-Pacific region. Spending 14 years at Ogilvy building its technology and social practices across 10 markets in the region, Sara ran campaigns for fast-growing startups and Fortune 500 companies, including brands like Amazon, Twitter and Canon. She also defined and launched Asia-specific products for social media, analyst community engagement and influencer mapping. Her work on influencer mapping and engagement made Ogilvy Singapore a center of excellence for stakeholder mapping in the Asia-Pacific region.
At WE, Sara leverages her significant expertise in creating internal and external communications strategies to shape culture, inspire employees, build brands and drive transformative change. She also serves as a trusted communications trainer and advisor for C-suite executives. She leads media communications, key opinion leader engagement and social media communications across the region.
A graduate from the National University of Singapore with a bachelor of arts in Southeast Asian studies and political science, Sara has won a number of awards for both client service and successful campaign management, holds guest lectures at Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University Wee Kim Wee School of Communication, and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences.
Outside work, Sara takes advantage of Singapore’s tropical climate and spends as much time as possible by the sea as she can.
